Domia Lifestyle Training

If you want to get more from your installations, and benefit from installing successful systems that customers love and recommend to their friends, you need to get the installation done correctly, first time, every time.

That is the objective of the Domia Lifestyle training course; a two day course run throughout the UK that take you through each of the various modules that form the Domia Lifestyle solution. The course is modular, with each module covering a different aspect of the system. Together these modules build to form a flexible, modular solution for almost any custom AV installation with a large degree of flexibility both in terms of price and function.

The training is also arranged in a modular format and course delegates can either elect to sit all of the modules or just the modules that you feel would be most appropriate to your requirements. Should you choose to, you can sit an optional examination at the end of each module. This will lead to an optional certification and you will be awarded a certificate of merit at the end of the course.

Should you choose to, you may want to use your training to form part of the commitment to becoming a 'Domia Lifestyle Qualified Installer'. This is a mark of quality that is awarded to people who fulfil the following criteria:

  • You must have sat and passed all of the examinations relating to the mandatory modules on the training course
  • You must sit and pass the DLQI configuration test examination
  • You must maintain your membership of the DLQI Continuing Professional Development program

The Domia Lifestyle Qualified Installer certification allows you install the system and benefit from the extended 2 year guarantee that Domia offer as well as being referred leads from Domia Lifestyle's extensive marketing and promotional programs.

Continued Professional Development

As part of our ongoing commitment to quality, we also offer an ongoing Continued Professional Development Program. This program allows you to maintain your certification of DLQI by keeping current with the latest developments in the Home Automation sector.

To maintain membership of the DLQI you must obtain 20 CPD points per annum. These are awarded as follows:

  • Attendance at the annual Domia Lifestyle training conference: 14 points
  • Attendance of any previously unsat training module: 3 points per module
  • Contributing more than 50 replies per year in the Domia Lifestyle forum: 3 points

Special Offer! Get 'hands on' and save up to a 1000 pounds

At Domia, we feel that there is nothing like getting your hands on with the kit involved in a system to really appreciate how the system works and the correct way to configure it.

To help this we ensure that all our training courses contain a significant amount of 'hands on' involve a significant amount of practical elements, ranging from wiring systems up through to actual configuration of software and hardware elements. We make this easier by ensuring that every course attendee, working in pairs, has equipment available on the day of training to put the theory elements into practice.

Our commitment does not end there, however. Every day course delegate is given a complete license of Harmony Installer Edition 2007 free of charge . This is a complete license, unrestricted as per the full license, to use either in your own home, or in your first installation.

If you feel you would like further experience with our hardware you can also buy the equipment you use during the course at a special discounted price of only £750, which, when combined with the software license, represents a saving of over £1,000 on the usual trade price. The training course equipment pack consists of a Domipad 15 Touchscreen, and Domia Pro Controller, Relay and Bus coupler.

Pre-order for that individual touch If you pre-order an equipment pack before the show then you can have the system delivered to you on the day of training and use it during the day should you wish not to work in pairs but to work individually.
